JOB DESCRIPTION General Summary of position: Responsible to supervise all Engineering activities on site. To ensure all plant equipment and buildings are maintained in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. Ensure the Engineering Department has adequately trained and skilled personnel to carry out their responsibilities and to consistently improve the quality of engineering work. To develop, plan and control Engineering budget to within the approved budget. To ensure that all Engineering Projects are carried out in a timely and effective manner. function Job responsibilities: » Head of Engineering department and in charge of everyday Engineering activities, projects, sourcing of machinery, manage department manpower. » Ensure plant equipment are performing to the optimum productivity level by implementation of best maintenance practices. » Develop, implement and review comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule and checklist for all facilities and machineries; » Establish maintenance management systems for tracking work orders, spare parts, maintenance history of plant and machinery; » Ensure Engineers, managers and Technicians are adequately trained and competent to carry out tasks and responsibilities of their appointment; » Manage engineering store with efficient spare parts management system and control expenses within the department budget; » Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems. function Requirements: » Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering or its equivalent » Minimum 10 years of working practice in an Engineering function, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment » Able to converse, write and read in English and Bahasa Malaysia. » Those with PLC / DCS / SCADA practice will have an added advantage. » Good communication and interpersonal skills. » Mature and pleasant personality.
