Conduct agronomic advisory visits to oil palm estates and provide practical & technically sound recommendations to improve yield
Provide annual fertilizer recommendations for oil palm estates
Initiate and follow through Yield Enhancement Projects (YEP) for estates
In charge of leaf & soil sampling, quality control and crop forecast operations
Conduct technical training on IPM, P&D, fertiliser application for internal estates
Conduct R&D trials to evaluate latest product & new technologies in the market
Requirements:
Degree in Agriculture Science/Sciences/Bio-technology/Engineering
Candidates with AISP/.LISP qualifications will also be considered
Minimum 5 years experience working as an agronomist/oil palm research centre
Candidates with strong background/experience at estate level (Senior Assistant Manager/Assistant Manager) will also be considered
Experience in conducting agronomic advisory visits and generating fertiliser recommendations for oil palm plantations
Strong knowledge in IPM, P&D management for oil palm
Strong analytical skills
Possess good written and verbal communication in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Statistical software (SPSS)
Strong team player and must thrive working in a team environment
Willing to travel extensively
Willing to be relocated and work in estate environment (Melaka/Sabah)
