Job Summary

To take charge of the Front Office Department in the absence of the Front Office Manager and to ensure guests have a smooth stay at the hotel. As the Assistant Front Office Manager, one should act as the bridge between the front and the back office.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Assist the Front Office Manager in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed He/She will be responsible to assist in providing leadership, guidance and support to the front desk team in the areas of guest service, training, scheduling and performance management for the overall successful day-to-day operations. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Able to work on shifts. Follow department policies, procedures and service standards Follow all safety policies Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure. Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Minimum of 2 year previous proven supervisory experience. Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests. Knowledge of IFCA System an asset. Should possess or seek certification in basic first aid. Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required. Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary: RM3,000.00 to RM3,500.00 /month
