SunPower Corporation, a leader in the solar industry and provider of the world’s highest efficiency solar panel, is searching for a Capital Procurement Buyer. The position is based in Malaysia and reports directly to the Capital Equipment Contract Manager.
The Capital Procurement Buyer will work closely with the Sunpower’s Equipment R&D, High Volume Manufacturing team and Legal team to develop & execute unique sourcing strategies for SunPower.
In addition, the Capital Procurement Buyer will have primary responsibility for managing Sunpower’s Global Supply base suppliers and will work with the Capital Equipment Contract Manager to develop and rollout enhanced business processes to the Capital Procurement organization where needed.
The Capital Procurement organization is responsible for assessing, sourcing, and managing SunPower’s capital equipment suppliers, supporting SunPower’s solar cell and module manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and drive various license agreement with suppliers for long term win-win outcome. Work collaboratively with Capital Procurement Managers to develop and execute SunPower’s cell and module manufacturing equipment strategies & support operation. Introduce of new toolsets including spec development, manufacturing monitoring, tool delivery, and installation. Achieve cost, quality, and delivery goals and objectives for solar cell and module equipment Strive to achieve competitive sourcing among multiple qualified suppliers through development and execution of commodity strategies Manage supplier performance and capability development to support Production needs and requirements by maintaining ERP system. Time to time request for quotation and quotation Management & PO tracking and Payment closure. Creates Purchase Order, obtain approval and monitor / follow-up on delivery and ensure of compliances to company policy and procedures.Min 1 years’ experience in a procurement, manufacturing operations & Equipment Knowledge, fresh graduated are welcome to apply.
Education
Bachelor’s degree and min. Engineering degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a highly matrixed environment Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Fluent in English and Chinese Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
