The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is: Family Description: Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. Environmental a. Assist in daily scheduled and general waste management activities, including internal waste transfer, crushing, packing, weighing, shipping documentation preparation and tracking of waste shipments b. Maintain and perform inspection at waste storage room and satellite accumulation areas. 2. Health & Safety a. Assist with accident, incident, Near Miss or Good Catch (Safety Suggestion) investigations when necessary b. Assist in annual PMT/PMA renewal c. Manage site-wide fire extinguishers Bomba certificate annual renewal d. Monitor ERT instruments periodic maintenance and calibration e. Audit ERT equipment inspection program and take corrective actions if required f. Manage and update internal communication g. Coordinate respiratory fit test h. Maintain and update Safety Data Sheet (SDS) (online and hardcopy versions) i. Manage Contractor Safety Induction (CSI) j. Manage Permit To Work (PTW) documentation 3. Gather EHS and sustainability metric data (e.g. headcount, utility consumption) 4. Monitor EHS Department budget and spending 5. Support other projects as needed by management or as business needs change. 6. MUST be able to support and be on site during off hours if situation requires Knowledge and Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (Conditional Formatting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting, Data Table), Power point. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Good verbal and written communication skills. Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard data and situational analysis practices and procedures from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable internal working relationships. Teamwork, Collaboration and Influence: * Organizes and communicates ideas through a variety of channels. Works well as a team member, sharing responsibility for tasks or objectives. Participates in team meetings, and contributes ideas within own specialty. Initiative: * Works under moderate supervision with regular progress discussions. Shows initiative by asking questions and by actively seeking to increase own knowledge and contributions. Demonstrates a desire to learn and develop. Impact and Results Focus: * Delivers quality and timely work. Has joint responsibility as a team member for group/ project results. Typically solves problems within project scope, using well-understood methods and technologies. Responds to routine inquiries. Evaluates and resolves issues using knowledge of what information to collect and where to find it. Researches and collects data used to compile information for decision-making. Minimum Education and Experience: * Diploma in technical field (Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Science). Preferably 1-2 years working experience in manufacturing environment. .
