Family Description:
The Facilities Reverse Osmosis Deionized (RODI) Engineer provides engineering support to oversee, plan, execute and ensure smooth and proper operation and maintenance of the RODI plant. The engineer is responsible in handling the 24/7 plant to support production and fulfil the compliance to the supply quality. The engineer is expected to respond to issues and interruption, propose & execute engineering upgrades, expansion and any other projects related to plant improvement and cost saving activities.

Qualification & Requirements
Degree in chemical engineering or related field of study.
Degree holder with min 3 years working experience in water treatment system.
Excellent communication skills and team work.
Good organizational skills, good in Microsoft Office (Words, Powerpoint and etc).
Self-motivated and able to work with ambiguity, be highly independent and willing to take initiative, challenge and responsibilities.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for overall smooth operation of the RODI Plant and ensure all emergencies are attended and rectified with ZERO/ minimal disruption to production.
Establish Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Identify operational priorities by assessing operational objectives; in terms of performance efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, supply quality and costs.
Manage outsource team.
Respond to emergencies and investigate the root cause of failure with problem solving tools like in 7QC and 8D. Identify the excursion and provides improvement, lesson learnt as part of preventive actions.
Utilities (water, chemical and electricity) daily monitoring and reporting, system capacity monitoring.
Propose and manage projects related to plant improvement.
Provide and execute continuous cost saving projects in operational and maintenance cost of RODI plant. Required to monitor, update and report the result of the projects.
Plan, manage and control inventory and budget allocation.
Develop the Annual Operation Plan (AOP).
Document control: daily checklist, preventive maintenance checklist, HIRAC, EASI, FMEA, control plan, One Point Lesson (OPL), incident reports, cost saving reports and etc.
Ensure compliance to EHS procedures.
Participate and support in the overall facility improvement and expansion projects. Eg. Design reviews, new requirement vs capacity and etc.
Work with cross functional team to develop team work within department. Involvement between Waste Water Treatment Plant and Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM).
